The West Virginia and Regional History Center Newsletter is dedicated to disseminating
information about the WVRHC and its mission to preserve and provide access to information
resources that document the history of West Virginia and the Central Appalachian
Region. The newsletters consist of brief scholarly articles, primarily about the
holdings of the WVRHC with an emphasis on recent accessions, as well as guides
to research and news releases about special projects and activities at the Center.
Each issue also contains a selected list of recent acquisitions. The WVRHC Newsletter
is distributed free of charge to all current donors to the WVRHC. You can find
back issues and an index in the Research Repository. The index provides coverage
from 1985 to 2005. To search all back issues for topics of interest, navigate
WVRHC Newsletters at the Research Repository and use the search box on the
WVRHC staff members regularly write posts for the
WVU Libraries blog about new acquisitions, little-known collections, behind-the-scenes
peeks at staff projects, special events, instruction, and more. Feedback is encouraged

West Virginia Day
The WVRHC celebrates West Virginia Day, the anniversary of the state's creation on June 20, 1863, every year, with events including invited speakers and the opening of our annual exhibit. Check out our WV Day page to see exhibits past and future and for more information on upcoming events!
